So, I’m blogging now. When I started running in 2010 I never thought I’d be trying to tell the world about it. But here we are 6 years later.
I guess I should start by telling you why I did this. Why I set up a blog to tell the world (I’m clearly feeling optimistic about how many readers I’m going to get!) about the highs and lows of running, keeping fit and trying to travel the world to take part in the six World Marathon Majors. Accountability, motivation, and inspiration. I want people to see what I’m trying to do – they can hold me accountable if I don’t follow through on something. I struggle with motivation (as do a lot of gym goers I suspect) so blogging will hopefully keep me motivated and I also want to chance to inspire other people.
So this is me –

I’d just finished the Brighton Marathon here; my first and only marathon up to this point. I felt pretty bloody good about myself crossing that finish line! That feeling keeps me running.
You’ll hear about my injury woes, my nutrition issues, my thoughts about body image and weight, diets and everything else in between. I want this blog to be as open and honest as it can get! It seems scary now but hopefully it will be worth it 🙂
Going share and let the world know I’m here before signing off for the evening. I’m drinking a pina colada as I write so it’s time to relax for the evening …
